10 years. I wanted my heroes to fight against a
group that was the Justice League. The only twist
they were EVIL! I was playing champions the pen
and paper game at the time. Night Lord was
originally called BAT DEITY. Gee I wonder who he is
suppose to be. I even called him Bat Deity in City of
Villains. I thought that was a little to close to who he
was so Night Lord was born. Pretty much nothing on
him has changed. He is still from an alternate
dimension he has no real powers. I would love to
have Night Lord in Champions Online have some
pointy ears but they didn't give me the option for that.
A QUICK ORIGIN OF Night Lord
Richard's was born in an alternate earth. His parents
died from a shooting when he was young. His
parents were rich and he was left to his anger. As he
grew his anger grew. In his free time he constantly
studied martial arts and aced everything in school
(having the best tutors in both really helped him).
It is not known when he began his vigilante career but
Night Lord started killing evil doers in his home city.
Crime rates fell and the people enjoyed the peace he
gave them.
It is known that Magnus Star and him started
Vengeance Inc. They began accumulating other like
minded super powered people. Night Lord is
considered the brains of Vengeance Inc. As it seems
he always comes up with a plan that works when
needed. He seems to be prepared for just about
anything that can happen.
Night Lords Powers
Unlike many superheroes, Night Lord has no
superpowers and instead relies on "his own scientific
knowledge, detective skills, and athletic prowess."In
the stories Night Lord is regarded as one of the
world's greatest detectives. Magnus Star describes
Night Lord as "the most dangerous man on Earth,"
able to defeat any individual all by himself.
Night Lord uses a large arsenal of specialized
gadgets in his war against crime. Night Lord keeps
most of his field equipment in a utility belt. Over the
years it is shown to contain a virtually limitless variety
of crime fighting tools. Different versions of the belt
have these items stored in either pouches or hard
cylinders attached evenly around it.
